Untitled LETTER LEAGUE Documentary (Short)
This is Heather Spooner of Ampersand Lettering Lab. She paints murals and signage and has a very loyal following of people (both online and in-person) who are inspired and uplifted by her art and her heart.
In 2020, at the start of the COVID quarantine, Heather created an adult pen pal program called The Letter League as a way to connect people, help them experience joy and foster a sense of community in a time when people couldn’t physically be together.
The ampersand symbol literally joins things togther and Ampersand Letter League was built on Heather’s deep love of letters, people and community.
Heather told us "what started as a way of helping people experience a little glimmer of joy has grown to become a sought-after beacon of light and connection for hundreds of people.”
This film will explore Heather’s journey creating Letter League and the heartfelt, humorous and poignant stories of connection and humanity that came from it.
