"Hey,
can I ask you what you're doing right there? Are you selling? Don't
worry, I'm not going to bug you, I'm homeless and I panhandle right
here..." and with that, we meet Tina Paulina, a 37-year-old
gay woman living on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles.
This brief but intimate look into her life takes place during an
impromptu interview with Filmmaker Barbara Green as she was working
on another project and Tina wandered into her frame. Literally.
We watch and listen as Tina shares pieces of her story, covering
subjects ranging from breakups with girlfriends, to why she's not
wearing her glass eye, to the proclamation that what the world could
really use is a little more kindness.
